Shaolin self-defense is a tool to help students train for the possibility of a dangerous situation.  There are many in our system, and they are taught slowly and progressively. It is not necessarily that the attacker will do A, and the defender will do ABCD in real life.  Each mini lesson teaches concepts and principles. These concepts and principles can be adapted to various situations.
